About derealisation/depersonalisation disorder.
This disorder is sometimes also known as a type of dissociative disorder, which can cause mental and physical problems. Some of the disorders are brought on following an unresolved traumatic life event. The disorder may last a very short time, or weeks and months – and may just go away on its own. Symptoms may differ from person to person, but could include some of the following:
· A feeling that you are not quite certain who you are.
· Feelings that you are dissociated from reality, and those around you.
