The following is a recap of some of the questions and answers that were made during an episode of the Ask the Doctors Podcast with Dr. Karen Kan & Dr. Dennis Lobstein. These two individuals are amazing contributors to the LifeWave education community and I owe a lot of my learning and understanding around patching to them their continual contribution to the community. I have recapped these questions to help me better learn and digest the information they share on their podcast. I trust you get the same value form them as I have.
During the Q&A session, several callers had inquiries regarding the patching techniques and specific points in relation different symptoms that they have been experiencing, looking for advice to help symptoms using LifeWave patches. Here are the summarized responses provided by Dr. Dennis and Dr. Karen:
Lois
Q: What do you suggest for managing overall body pain?
A: Dr. Dennis – There's a specific acupuncture point in the ear that can potentially address overall body pain. Try applying a patch over the ear to see if it alleviates the pain. Specifically, place a white IceWave patch over the right ear, slightly towards the front, for less than an hour. You may notice an improvement in a matter of seconds, although it could take up to an hour for the effects to be fully felt.
Consider utilizing the Sky-Earth Paradigm by double-patching. Apply IceWave patches on Kidney 1, with white on the right and tan on the left. Alternatively, use two sets of IceWave patches with tan patches on Liver 3 bilaterally and white patches on specific points like Large Intestine 4 (this is based on the Sky-Earth paradigm where the arms correspond to the yang aspect, situated above the head). These points are known as the Four Gates and have been associated with alleviating motion sickness and jet lag.
For a Large Triangle approach, place IceWave on Kidney 1 with white on the right and tan on the left. Additionally, patch the top of the head using either an Aeon or an X39 patch.
Clarice
Q: Can these patches help with gum issues and bone loss around the lower molar, potentially aiding in bone re-growth and avoiding tooth extraction?
A: Dr. Dennis – Incorporating hypochlorous acid through the Kangen machine might assist in eliminating mouth pathogens that could contribute to the issue. This could complement the effects of the patches. The mouth area corresponds to the Stomach and Spleen Meridians in acupuncture. Applying IceWave or Energy Enhancer patches on Stomach 44 and Large Intestine 11 could help alleviate toxic heat from the head. Place tan patches on both feet for ST44 and white patches on LI11.
Targeting Spleen 6 can be beneficial, as it encompasses liver, kidney, and spleen energy, which in turn supports the mucosa in the mouth area.
To specifically address the gum and bone issues, consider adding X49 on points like Stomach 4, 5, or 6 on the jaw's right side. Apply X39 on the left Bladder 65, known for aiding in bone repair. This patch can be wrapped around the edge of the foot, but even if wrapping isn't possible, it will still be effective. Additionally, alternate days by using the left Spleen 6 point.
Rhetah
Q: Dealing with extreme swelling in the legs, ankles, and feet, and have tried various patching protocols. Looking for guidance in addressing this issue.
A: Dr. Dennis – Applying X39 on the Life Gate Governing Vessel 4 can be beneficial. This point is considered constitutional and can help address underlying energetic imbalances, which could contribute to various symptoms, including swelling.
Consider implementing the Five-Element Rotation technique, utilizing X39 and X49 as the yin and yang pair on alternating days. This can work in tandem with the Life Gate protocol.
For nighttime, consider using ShiMian patches on the heels along with Aeon, Nirvana, or Silent Nights on the right heel to address emotional distress. Optionally, you can place a tan, SP6C, or Carnosine patch on the left heel.
Q: Seeking help for chronic constipation in a woman in her 70s, despite attempting various protocols, including the Brain Balancing Protocol with X39.
A: Dr. Dennis – It's essential to ensure she's well-hydrated, especially during detoxification. Prolonged detox processes might contribute to constipation. Boosting mineral intake can be valuable during intense detox and healing phases, as minerals play a role in anchoring emotions.
Consider using patches on points like Lan Wei Xui, which is two finger-widths below the right Stomach 36. If sore, patch this area with a positively charged patch. Stomach 37 on both sides can also help, as it's the He Se point for the Large Intestine.
Dr. Karen suggests that highly empathetic individuals might need to address their empathy as a factor influencing their physical health.
Q: How do the Lifewave patches assist in brain detoxification?
A: Research indicates that Aeon aids in antioxidation, cortisol level regulation, and inflammation reduction, contributing to brain detoxification. All patches contribute to enhancing the body's bicoherence, optimizing detoxification processes. Patches applied to Kidney points can influence the "marrow," an integral part of the nervous system according to Chinese Medicine. For instance, using X39 on Life Gate Governing Vessel 4 could be beneficial.

Q: Seeking guidance on patch usage to prepare for and recover from orthognathic jaw surgery.
A: Dr. Dennis – Consider the Five-Element Rotation technique using Energy Enhancer patches. Additionally, you can add X39 and X49 patches on specific brochure points or place X39 on the Life Gate GV 4 and X49 on Conception Vessel 15 or 17 to address chest discomfort. Applying patches post-surgery can involve placing X39 and X49 on Stomach 5 on the jaw. Consider adding IceWave on Large Intestine 4 bilaterally, with white on the right and tan on the left.
Evie
Q: Experiencing difficulty with singing and talking for extended periods, possibly related to past illness. Seeking advice on patch usage.
A: Dr. Karen provides insights from German New Medicine regarding the larynx. She suggests using Heart 5 with a Glutathione patch on Conception Vessel 22, X49 on the right Heart 5, and X39 on the left Heart 5 during the day.
For additional support, consider placing ShiMian patches on the heel, allowing the energy to pass through the internal liver channel and throat area. Apply Silent Nights or Aeon on the right heel and Carnosine on the left heel.
Zoe
Q: Seeking guidance on continuing patch usage to address a growth near the left eye, as well as visual concerns.
A: Dr. Dennis – It's important to focus on grounding energy by targeting Kidney 1 with X39 and X49 patches on the left and right. Alternatively, consider using X39 and X49 patches on the eye, along with points like Liver 3, Kidney 1, or Spleen 6 in a yin/yang pair configuration.
Incorporating seaweed like Dulse into the diet could be beneficial, as this herb is known to dissipate stagnation and abnormal growth.
Dr. Karen suggests considering any potential German New Medicine conflicts that might be related to the eye issue.
Elalavette
Q: Seeking advice on detoxing after regular vaccinations, including the use of a bentonite clay bath.
A: Dr. Dennis – Suggests using Glutathione patches on brochure points for effective detoxification.
Dr. Karen – Recommends using Glutathione patches less frequently, especially for younger individuals. Ensure they can provide verbal feedback and adjust the patch schedule accordingly.
Q: Looking for ways to strengthen gums and address tooth issues, including fallen fillings and the desire for less toxic alternatives.
A: Dr. Dennis – Advises consulting a biological dentist if possible.
Consider patching stomach and spleen channels as mentioned previously. Specifically, use X39 and X49 patches on Stomach 5 along the cheeks and jawline.
Q: Seeking advice for a son experiencing sudden stomach discomfort resembling a punch after receiving bad news. He is a track athlete.
A: Dr. Karen – Suggests the possibility of a diaphragmatic spasm. Topical magnesium oil may help alleviate muscle spasms.
Using patches on Conception Vessel 15 with Aeon or Carnosine on the front could provide relief.
Dr. Dennis – Recommends patching Bladder 17, located just below T7, to address the spasm. Utilize X39/X49 or IceWave patches, with tan on the left or white on the right.
