Yin and Yang: Understanding Energy Imbalances
The human body is a complex interplay of energies, and when these energies are out of balance, it can lead to a variety of health issues. In traditional Chinese medicine, the concepts of Yin and Yang are used to describe these energy imbalances. Let's explore how you can address these imbalances using Lifewave patches without plagiarizing the original text.
Balancing Yin Issues
When Yin energy is sinking, individuals may experience symptoms such as lethargy, depression, and a sensation of heaviness. It's as if they are moving through life as though wading through thick molasses. To boost Yang Qi and address these symptoms, consider using a patch on Governing Vessel 20, located at the top of the Tai Chi Pole.
Addressing Yang Issues
On the other hand, excessive Yang energy can manifest as agitation, restlessness, and frustration. Often, this is associated with Yin deficiency heat, affecting channels like the small intestine and heart. When the Yin is deficient and the heart's fire is too intense, individuals can become hyperactive, even experiencing mania or psychosis. In these cases, it's crucial to anchor the wild Yang energy.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the heart governs all organs, and the small intestine acts as its protector. If the small intestine channels are blocked or imbalanced due to excess heat, it can disrupt the harmony of the heart. To alleviate irritability and agitation, consider using Small Intestine 7 (SI7), a Luo connecting point.
Patching Techniques for Balance
To balance the small intestine energy, Lifewave offers various patching techniques. You can use Energy Enhancers, IceWave, or SP6C/Aeon combos on both sides of the small intestine. For those experiencing uncontrolled and excessive energy, focusing on the Yin organs may be necessary. Try placing a positive patch on Heart 7 (right) and a negative patch on Kidney 3 (left).
Understanding Patch Energies
Understanding the energy rotations of Lifewave patches is essential. Positive patches have an energy spin similar to rotating an acupuncture needle dextrorotation to the right, known as "tonification." Negative patches have opposing energy rotations. Keep in mind that some patches are relatively more Yin than others, even if they are considered positive patches. For advanced protocols, consider using patches like X39 on the left and X49 on the right.

The following is a recap of some of the questions and answers that were made during an episode of the Ask the Doctors Podcast with Dr. Karen Kan & Dr. Dennis Lobstein. These two individuals are amazing contributors to the LifeWave education community and I owe a lot of my learning and understanding around patching to them their continual contribution to the community. I have recapped these questions to help me better learn and digest the information they share on their podcast. I trust you get the same value form them as I have.
Q&A Callers - Marta A., Eric, Marie, Bakile, Carissa, Judy, SoulServais, and Jane
During the Q&A session, several callers had inquiries regarding the patching techniques and specific points in relation different symptoms that they have been experiencing, looking for advice to help symptoms using LifeWave patches. Here are the summarized responses provided by Dr. Dennis and Dr. Karen:
Marta A.: Marta, who has a history of immune system issues and recently experienced a miscarriage, is looking to optimize her health before trying to conceive again. She has already started the Y-Age protocol and the Advanced Brain Balancing Protocol.
Dr. Dennis suggests combining the Brain Balancing Protocol with Aeon and the Y-Age protocols. He recommends considering the 5 elements rotation and using SP6C/Aeon combo or X39/X49 instead of traditional Energy Enhancers or IceWave. It's essential to divide patches into AM/PM applications and explore different combinations.
Eric: Eric is seeking advice on the best patches for supporting healthy blood sugar levels. Dr. Dennis recommends targeting the Stomach 21 acupuncture point, located on the ribs, and the Wei Guan Xiashu point on the back, around T8 on the inner bladder line. Using a combination of patches like Energy Enhancers, IceWave, SP6C/Aeon, or X39/X49 can be beneficial. An easier option is to place an Energy Enhancer on Stomach 36.
Marie: Marie has been using Lifewave patches for three weeks and initially experienced improved sleep. However, after using X39, she had difficulty staying asleep and experienced heightened alertness. Dr. Dennis suggests that her central dopamine levels may be too high, hindering her sleep. He recommends using Nirvana or Silent Nights on the Xi Mian point (heel on the right foot) to calm the brain. If this worsens the situation, she can experiment with placing the patch on the left foot. For hormonal balance, Alavida behind the right ear is recommended. If polarity is reversed, use it behind the left ear, or try Carnosine instead.
Bakile: Bakile is seeking patches to assist her husband, who has vertebrobasilar damage on the left side and struggles with swallowing due to an insufficient UES (Upper Esophageal Sphincter) opening. Dr. Dennis recommends addressing excess phlegm accumulation by using patches on Stomach 40 and Spleen 9. Using Yin/Yang pairs, apply patches to the left Spleen 9 and the right Stomach 40. Additionally, consider using Conception Vessel 12 and 22 simultaneously to open the esophagus and throat energy.
Carissa: Carissa inquires about patches to support her aunt, who is dealing with neurological degeneration causing muscle paralysis, speech impairment, and swallowing difficulties. Dr. Dennis suggests addressing neurological blockages with the Advanced Brain Balancing Protocol, including Aeon, X39, X49, and Carnosine. For flaccidity, Gallbladder 39 is recommended, with X39 on the left Liver 3 and X49 on the right GB 39.
Judy: Judy is looking for advice on addressing frequent urination, as X39 alone hasn't helped. Dr. Dennis recommends patching Conception Vessel 2 with X39 or Aeon and supporting the urinary system by patching Bladder 23 on the back near the kidneys or Bladder 28, the back SHU point for the bladder, located on the sacrum around the level of S2. She can use Energy Enhancers with white on the right and tan on the left or try the X39/X49 combination with Aeon on CV2.
SoulServais: SoulServais seeks guidance for her stomach issues, including gurgling, gas pains, and groin area discomfort. She currently uses X39, Energy Enhancers, 5 element detox protocol during the day, and Silent Nights at night. Dr. Dennis recommends regulating stomach Qi with Conception Vessel 12 and the Glutathione patch. He also suggests incorporating the Spleen/Stomach rotation every other day and trying the Aeon Brain balancing protocol. Separating protein and starches in meals using the Food Combining system may also be beneficial.
Jane: Jane has experienced new health issues since moving to the Arizona desert, including headaches, fatigue, joint pain, and throat irritation. Dr. Dennis recommends the 5 Elements Detox protocol, avoiding sugar, and considering Spleen 9 (on the left) to address dampness. She can also use Conception Vessel 12 or Conception Vessel 17 with Glutathione or X39. To alleviate allergies, Bladder 13 is suggested, with X39 on the left and X49 on the right. Additional recommendations include using a negative ionization machine, having a waterfall indoors, and increasing indoor plants.
